Raj Mahal Situated to the right of the quadrangle this was built by Madhukar Shah, the deeply religious predecessor of Bir Singh Ju Deo. The plan exteriors crowned by chattries, give way to interiors with exquisite morals, boldly colorful, on a variety of relies themes.Ram Raja Mahal Madhukar Shah's wife once had a dream that she should install the idol of Lord Rama at Orchha, which she brought from Ayodhya. It was kept in the palace, now known as the Ram Raja Temple which is the only temple where Rama is worshipped as king.

Laxminarayana Temple The interior's contains the most exquisite of Orchha's, wall paintings covering the walls and ceiling of three halls, these murals are vibrant compositions and cover a variety of spiritual and secular subjects. They are in an excellent state of preservation with the colors retaining their vivid quality.

 

Chaturbhuj Temple The temple with its wonderful improvised style, and its magnitude, dominates the town area of Orchha. As its name implies, it is dedicated to the "four armed" Vishnu and its layout visually reproduces these four arms. Built by Bir Sing Deo (1606-1627), the temple stands on a huge stone pedestal, about 15 ft high, reached by a large flight of steps leading up to a porch.

Chattries (Cenotaphs)
There are fourteen Chatrries or memorials to the rulers of Orchha grouped along the kanchan gaht of the river Betwa.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Jhansi-Orchha
Arrive Jhansi and drive for the first destination, Orchha. After reaching, check-in to the hotel, freshen up yourself and leave for local sightseeing.

Some main tourist attractions in Orchha are Orchha fort complex, Raja Ram Temple, Phool Bagh and Laxminarayan Temple. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Orchha
Have your breakfast and enjoy the rest of the day exploring Orchha. There are many places to visit in Orchha. Some famous attractions in Orchha include Sunder Mahal, Raj Mahal, Orchha Sanctuary, Chattris and Chaturbhuj Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Orchha-Khajuraho
Time to change the place! Drive to Khajuraho and check-in to the hotel. Post breakfast, go for local sightseeing. Pay visit to the famous temples including Adinath Temple, Chitragupta Temple and Devi Jagdamba Temple.

All these temples are believed to be built by Chandela rulers in the 9th and 10th century A.D. These temples have unique engravings. After this long day, have a comfortable stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Khajuraho
Have some delicious breakfast and spend the rest of the day in Khajuraho. Explore the town and click some pictures while sightseeing the place.

Visit it old forts like Ajaigarh Fort and Kalinjar Fort. Seek blessings at Parsvanth Temple and Vaman Temple. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Departure
After you have your breakfast, check-out of the hotel. You will be dropped at the airport/ railway station as per your flight/train.

DAY-1
On arrival at Jhansi railway station, drive to Orchha. It is just 20kms/30mins. from Jhansi. Here interesting notable thing is that Jhansi lies in Uttar Pradesh whereas Orchha lies in Madhya Pradesh state. On reaching Orchha, relax for some time in your hotel and later proceed for Orchha sightseeing in which we will visit Jahangir Fort, Rai Praveen Ka Mahal, riverside cenotaphs, Ram Raja Temple etc. Here fort located on island of Betwa river. All these monuments are of Bundela dynasty.

DAY-2
After breakfast, drive to Khajuraho at a distance of 190kms/04:30hrs. By afternoon we will reach Khajuraho and check-in to Khajuraho hotel. After having lunch proceed for temples sightseeing. Later in evening you may attend light & sound show.
